Description:
cream silk damask with ground of leaves and flowers superimposed on diaper pattern; flowers and leaves picked out in brocading wefts in shades of blue, red, green, yellow, pink, and purple, bound in twill; one selvedge present, striped cream and green; remnants of adhesive on three sides indicate that it was once glued into an album or mounted on paper; paper tag attached with white thread and gold safety pin: “17 a/b / Ivory silk brocade, / ca. 1730 / PT/each”
