two fragments of an upholstery fabric with beige or natural linen wefts and silk warps, which form the design of blue ombré stripes on a yellow ground; the fabric also has an overall moiré finish; the wider fragment, a full selvedge with, preserves three stripes (and contains a small yellow patch), while the longer fragment contains only one blue stripe; both extremely soiled
